Message from the District Governor

Dear Fellow Rotarians,
It is my great honor and joy to invite you to the 13th District Conference – District 2451, Egypt, to be held on 8–9 May 2026 in the city of Cairo.
This year, we gather at a venue like no other—the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest archaeological museum, which will be inaugurated in November 2025. Standing proudly at the gateway to the Pyramids of Giza, this iconic cultural landmark unites the timeless glory of Egypt’s past with the vision of a global future.
When you step inside the GEM, you will find yourself surrounded by wonders beyond imagination: the complete treasures of King Tutankhamun, displayed in their entirety for the very first time; the monumental Grand Staircase lined with colossal statues of pharaohs; and the legendary Khufu Solar Boat, restored and showcased in a dedicated gallery. Each hall takes you on a journey through Egypt’s society, kingship, and beliefs across the ages—offering a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with history, presented in a setting of breathtaking modern design.
Beyond the museum, Cairo itself will embrace you with its energy, culture, and warmth: the eternal Nile, the treasures of Historical Cairo, the bustling bazaars, and the city’s unique rhythm that inspires and surprises at every turn.
Cairo is calling! Together, we will experience Rotary fellowship against the backdrop of the Pyramids, explore Egypt’s timeless treasures, and celebrate the future we are building side by side.
Here, Rotarians from every corner of Egypt and around the world will come together in fellowship—celebrating achievements, exchanging bold ideas, and forging partnerships that carry forward the enduring spirit of Rotary.
